Please help, I’m a problem player How can I stop myself from micromanaging other PCs' actions?

I’ve been having a problem in DnDD&D. I love the game, perhaps too much.

I keep finding myself trying to control the other playersplayers' characters (telling them what they should do, or where to go), and I want to stop. I’m ruining everyone’s fun. And I don’t know how to stop!

I want everyone to have fun, but I’m having a hard time restraining myself. Anyone else who has this problem: how do you stop yourself?

My DM took me aside the other day to talk about this. Since I have no experience in these matters, this is the first place I went to find out what I should do.
