The "as an ingredient" interpretation makes more sense here - if I gave you a hamburger and a bottle of vitamin pills, I don't think anybody would suggest that "food" adequately describes the whole package, which is what the "packaged alongside" interpretation would imply.
Jan 1, 2021 at 9:41 comment added Anagkai The definition says that food can also mean the first part together with supplementary substances. That's what the also means. And the salt should be dry. I'm not convinced.
