I haven't studied 5E but looking at 3E--if the wish is unwilling (say, a trapped genie) or from an evil source (say, something from the lower planes) expect twisting if at all possible. From a good or unaligned source, you're right, it should be fully granted. 3 spell levels is plenty of power to retain your current form rather than the randomness of reincarnate. | |
