I'm considering creating a Wizard character using the 'Symbiotic' template. However, I have a question about the mechanic:

As I understand it, for just a +1 Level Adjustment (LA), the character gains mental attributes, Special Qualities, potentinlypotentially an improvement of Base Saves, skills and and feats from the 'guest,' among other features. Is this LA completely independent of what is chosen as the 'guest'? Some creatures in mind: Faerie dragon (Small creature with LA+2) Wyrmling or Very young Shadow Dragon (Tiny or Small creature with LA+3)

  • Faerie dragon (Small creature with LA+2)
  • Wyrmling or Very young Shadow Dragon (Tiny or Small creature with LA+3)
