Such a PC wouldn’t be in a white room either, so playing them would either continue to be fun and adventuresome in that campaign, or be retired. It would be either boring, or somehow worth playing even with +3s and never getting another stat increase. I don’t think all-18s would be a problem for that PC—challenge in DW is less about winning or losing rolls and more about what’s at risk and which hard choices you make, and high numbers don’t eliminate that. Think of it like playing Elminster: his life isn’t easy, it’s interesting.
Jul 29, 2019 at 17:57 comment added Captain Delano If you change entirely to a new class, and keep your old ability scores, won't they eventually all be maxed (at 18), assuming your character doesn't die before that happens? This seems like a potential problem to me, but I may be missing something.
