I just feel when this happens there's a different kind of involvement in the game: i think it's more difficult to relate yourself with your characters feelings, preoccupations and intents when you have more than one character to think of. While a DM is usually inclined to act more than one role at the same table, for new players this can be challenging. It was my intent to point them in a direction so they can experience character interaction, one of the funniest parts of the game.
