That was largely the point; the house-rule doesn't allow the character to do anything that is much more powerful (if at all) than the things he is already capable of doing. Hence the "modest damage for that level" comment in the second to last paragraph. | |
Aug 25, 2015 at 6:04 | comment | added | PurpleVermont | It's late, so I may be missing something, but without the house rule couldn't the EK do better by just using his first standard action to take the Attack action (2 melee attacks) and cast Magic Weapon as a bonus action, and then use his second action for Shocking Grasp? (Or use the second action for another 2 melee attacks, which will almost certainly be better than a Shocking Grasp) | |
