Dec 22, 2020 at 23:46 | comment | added | PixelMaster | "or get level drained by a trap" - there's no such thing as "level drain" in 5e.
Nov 8, 2018 at 13:59 | comment | added | guildsbounty | I would like to note that Wish makes you and your entire party effectively immortal. Free-usage of the Clone Spell, with the clones stashed in Demiplanes full of random junk that you cycle out so no one can 'know the contents of the demiplane' to get in, along with a copy of your spellbook. Poof. Immortality.

Oct 18, 2017 at 7:28 | comment | added | Rob Rose | "All of your adventures are now in dungeons." There, your new dragon-self is useless.

Mar 13, 2016 at 18:37 | comment | added | Cubic | "Keep in mind: the GM is effectively the one true God of your fantasy universe" and Einstein was clearly wrong about the whole dice thing.
Oct 1, 2015 at 13:42 | comment | added | Lucas Leblanc | @Nemenia Consider revising your question? There are plenty of people on this site who would provide better answers if you were just a bit more specific. From my perspective, your OP applies two examples -- one of which is an obvious "things got out of hand" situation that should probably be resolved between the GM and the players (this happens not infrequently, especially if most involved are new to the rules), and the other is just unlikely. Neither of these things are a smoking gun of "unbalancedness", yet you are asking us to balance it. I still don't know why you think it's unbalanced.
Oct 1, 2015 at 10:43 | comment | added | Sandwich | +1 for the "Lich Unlikely to fail their save" bit. This is very true. Magical creatures are very unlikely to fail a save, especially one with good saving throws.
Sep 30, 2015 at 21:53 | comment | added | Nemenia | This is true, but codes has a point. I was looking at raw, and your answer was beneficial, I up voted it, it just doesn't help me much
Sep 30, 2015 at 20:04 | comment | added | Lucas Leblanc | He's asking us to "balance the spell" for him when there isn't really any objective way to balance it, because each group has a different play preference and idea of what is "balanced." He would need to tell us what kind of players are in the group and what they want out of the game. Not to mention, his criteria for why the spell is unbalanced seem flawed, and the question is the title is different from the one in the conclusion of his post; I was addressing the title question.
Sep 30, 2015 at 20:01 | comment | added | CodesInChaos | Since the OP mentioned RAW, they might be more interested in rule-lawyering over your common-sense approach. That could be the reason for your downvote.

spelling/punc fixes; fix grammar of “liable” (it requries a following “to [infinitive verb]” when used that way); format headers as real headers
