A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when the gladiator hits with it (included in the attack)." As such, this is not at all evidence that attacks with shields should do 2d4 (+ Str mod) damage, but rather evidence that it should normally be 1d4 (+ Str mod) damage. | |
