In a different playstyle they could quite reasonably claim (as in Dan B's answer) that a rule "halflings are less than 7'6" tall" is of a different type from a rule, "druids choose not to wear metal armour", and that their character should be free to put on metal armour even if that means ceasing to be a druid, and even if the rules omit any specific mechanism for that. | |
