Doing this by yourself is pretty much impossible, since you can't make your characterecharacter come up with ideas you don'tdidn't come up with myselfyourself. In In my experiencedexperience, it worked quite okaywell to rely on a little subtle help from the Game Master or hints from your group of players. Unfortunately this Unfortunately, these little "out of game" experiencesmoments might annoy you if youyou'd rather keepmaintain the atmosphere up.
In my case, I played a wizard (ofof sorts. I'mfrom(I'm from Germany, where we gothave our own D&D ripoff named "Das Schwarze Auge" ("theDas Schwarze Auge ["the black eye")eye"]) and he's able to make prophecies, so the. The game master can slip him hints every once in a while, which makes my character able to come up with ideas I wouldn't have thought of all by myself.
