If I waswere to fail a dexterity roll to unlock a chest, could I redo it next time? I know that if you fail a skill challenge it is permanent, but are skill checks the same, or can you redo them? If you could cite the page number describing this in the DMG or PHBPH, I'd appreciate it.

D&D can Can you redo a failed skill check?

Hi I was wondering ifIf I was to fail a dexterity roll to unlock a chest (failed my dexterity roll), could I redo it next time?
