My group started in late Dec 14th with D&D 4e, in the Points of Light. My players have expressed an interest in making the switch to 5e. D&D 5e is set in Forgotten Realms, a completely new and different world, so we have to switch and I need a good way to do it.

Is there any game mechanic for making the switch to Faerun (Forgotten Realms) from PoL? Or should I just make something up like having my group find a portal and picking up from there?
