For questions about the summoner character class in Pathfinder, and similar classes or archetypes in other RPGs. In Pathfinder, summoners are arcane spellcasters focused on conjuration magic, and have the ability to summon a special creature called an eidolon (see the [eidolon] tag).

Unchained Summoner Eidolon and being far away and coming closer
As stated in the Life Link ability:
Current hit points lost in this way are not restored when the eidolon gets closer to its summoner, but its maximum hit point total does climb to the levels indicated … This means that as the Eidolon returns to the summoner, it will not regain its current HP, though will have it's maximum HP increased back to standard levels. …
