What defines the "item distasteful to a target" in the components?
@CaptainMan Is there a limit to what the component pouch has except for Components that have a specific cost? I mean, it's a pouch and not a bag of holding, but it seems to work for nearly everything.

How can I use a polearm with Reach as a Monk/Kensei weapon?
Fleshed out the question with some details about my intentions for the character so as to open up for alternative suggestions.

It's unlikely that the DM would agree to modify the class. Home-brewing a balanced weapon would be more likely to be accepted. I already figured that making it a Martial weapon would be necessary, or I wouldn't have to pick Kensei. However, I think that your suggestion of making it a longer quarterstaff and keeping the Versatile property makes no sense. Wouldn't such a long polearm be too unwieldy to use with only one hand? Aside from that, it's pretty much the weapon I proposed, but with a higher damage die.

I like the idea of home-brewing the Monk to use Monk Weapon polearms as if they had the Reach property, but it doesn't feel balanced to add something like that without taking something else away. Would it not make more sense to add it to the Kensei specifically rather than the whole class? Adding it to the class would be beneficial for me though, since it would let me take Way of Tranquillity instead, which is more fitting for the character. It would also be more fitting to use a quarterstaff, since she's quite short in stature and a longer weapon would be unwieldy to walk around with.

Does the Dodge Specialization add to the total for Dodge?
I have not been able to find what "Rolling" is. Any search for the word, in any combination with related words, just return results about rolling dice.

Do unarmed attacks with silver gauntlets harm werewolves?
It doesn't really make sense to me. I'd say it's a matter of whether werewolves are "allergic" to touch silver or if silver is simply required to reliably pierce werewolf skin. However, ruling out silver gauntlets for this reason would require that all blunt silver weapons be ruled out, because blunt weapons generally don't pierce skin.

Is there a way to simulate mass battles using the DnD engine?
@Rubiksmoose I could. It will take some time that I don't have right now. I'll try to remember to do it sometime soon.

I erased an obstacle from having ever existed. Should I get any experience for it?
I actually think that the DM's decision is a pretty fun consequence of your actions: The corpses were never reanimated, so there was never any XP to gain. :P

Is it metagaming if I want to build a bomb?
Alternative explosive: Fill Bag of Holding with oil, put in position, destroy it with a fireball.

Our DM has used both types of mass combat in our campaign. They are both quite enjoyable and suitable for different situations. The one with the stands and solos is more strategical while the BR mechanic is more focused on the PCs with the combat in the background being determined by their actions as well as dice rolls. The BR mechanic is most suitable for two armies facing each other head-on and is devoid of strategy.
